SOCIAL MEDIA AND CONTENT MANAGER VOLUNTEER
Sublimitas is seeking a Volunteer for our Social Media & Content Manager position to help inspire and engage new supporters and donors to provide educational services to socio-economically marginalized children and youth internationally.
We are seeking:
An organized, tech-savvy, and enthusiastic Volunteer Social Media & Content Manager who will work in close coordination with the Director of Research and Programs on a variety of projects related to social media management and content production. You will develop, edit, and publish marketing and outreach materials, manage our website, develop social media campaigns to boost awareness and support our advocacy efforts. This is a great opportunity for current students or recent grads looking for behind-the-scenes experience in either the nonprofit sector or social media campaigns. This volunteer opportunity with a flexible schedule can be performed from a remote location.
Responsibilities include:
•Assist with development of engaging and inspiring content for website, email campaigns, and social media
•Contribute to and manage our social media strategy and campaigns in order to grow our social media presence
•Assist with maintenance of website and social media accounts – keeping them dynamic and helping us stand out
•Support Sublimitas team with other aspects of advocacy projects as needs arise
We’re looking for someone who:
•Has strong social-media experience and is familiar with the big platforms (Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram) but is willing to go beyond the mainstays to identify and suggest other tools and communities
•Has a good working knowledge of multimedia production tools
•Knows Mailchimp (or any of the smaller email campaign platforms)
•Has exceptional written and verbal communication skills
•Is creative (graphic design experience a plus)
•Is self-motivated, with strong initiative and resourcefulness
•Has effective project management skills and high attention to detail
•Experience in marketing a plus
•Has a strong interest, background, or dedication to promoting the power of education to provide hope and opportunity to marginalized children.
